Natalie Portman Gives Birth to Her Third Child

Email : 2

Congratulations are in order for Natalie Portman! The actor has reportedly given birth to her third child—her first with her partner Tanguy Destable.

The actor and French music producer welcomed their baby in Paris last month, as reported by People.

She first revealed the joyous news to Harper’s Bazaar in April. “Tanguy and I are very excited,” she said. “I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle.”

Portman, who is 44, also discussed her experiences of trying to conceive and the complexities of fertility, reflecting on her perspective on the subject having grown up with her father, who is a fertility doctor.

“I grew up hearing about how hard it is to get pregnant,” she told Bazaar. “I have so many people I love who’ve had such a hard time with it that I want to be respectful around that as well. It’s such a beautiful, joyous thing, and it’s also not an easy thing.”

Destable and Portman have been linked since the spring of 2025 when they were first spotted out together, but public appearances have been rare. Portman shares two children—Aleph, 15, and daughter Amalia, 9—with her ex-husband, dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied.

Speaking further to Bazaar, she expressed her feelings on being pregnant at a later age. “There is a gratitude that when you’re young, you don’t necessarily grasp,” she said. “And there’s a calm and knowing myself: who I want to spend time with, what kind of energy I want around me that makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing it’s probably the last time, I cherish every moment.”

Her pregnancy has seemed to progress pleasantly. Portman shared that she had been spending a lot of time walking around Paris and eating well. “I have more energy than I thought I might,” she said. She later shared her daily routine with Elle. “I try and do some kind of physical activity every day,” she said. “I either swim or walk, and do gyrotonics. I’m still vegan. I take lots of vitamins. I try and sleep as much as possible.”

And another silver lining? “Being pregnant is almost like a cleanse because you don’t drink and can’t have caffeine,” Portman shared. “So I’m like, ‘Wow, I’ve never been cleaner in my life.’”

While we can expect Portman to take a step back and enjoy that precious time with her baby, she’s got several projects set for release this year: the Cathy Yan-directed dark comedy The Gallerist will have its theatrical release in December, and Good Sex—written and directed by Lena Dunham, in which Portman stars as couples therapist Ally—will be out later this year. There is also Pumping Black, a thriller about professional cycling with Jonathan Bailey, and Photograph 51, based on the life of the pioneering scientist Rosalind Franklin, which are both in pre-production.

Congratulations once again, Natalie Portman and Tanguy Destable!
