Florence Pugh is taking a more-is-more approach to her East of Eden premiere style.
At a BAFTA screening today in London, Pugh hit the red carpet in an operatic black ruffled taffeta Rodarte dress from fall 2026. While Pugh was enveloped by the gown’s outsized, petal-like sleeves and full, ruched skirt—replete with tiers of ruffled dusting her hem—she wasn’t swallowed by the dress thanks to her impossibly cinched waist.
While the dress was plenty theatrical all on its own (it’s what I can only imagine Victorian mourning garb would look like in 2026), Pugh dialed up the drama with her styling. Her off-the-shoulder dress left plenty of room for an impressive Bvlgari necklace with a nearly-30-carat rubellite center stone, surrounded by 68 marquise and pavé-set diamonds and onyx details. Pugh matched the red stone to her bold lip, and opted for long, waist-length hair for good measure.
