PCB Officially Announces Auction for PSL Franchise Multan Sultans; High Revenue Expected

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially invited bids for the sale of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Multan Sultans. This strategic move follows the successful auctions of other regional teams and marks a significant phase in the league’s expansion and financial restructuring.

According to the official advertisement released by the board, interested parties and potential investors are required to submit their technical and financial bids by January 30 2026.

The PCB has outlined a streamlined process: on the same day as the submission deadline, a thorough technical evaluation will be conducted, followed by the announcement of the final shortlist of qualified bidders.

Market analysts and board officials are optimistic about the sale. Following the high-value auctions of the Hyderabad and Sialkot franchises, the PCB expects to generate a substantial windfall from the Multan Sultans’ auction, reflecting the growing brand value and commercial appeal of the PSL.
