Not even a tornado warning can stop Dua Lipa from starting a summer footwear trend.
For a recording session at Electric Lady Studios yesterday, Lipa was ready to brave the inclement weather, a pair of light-wash jeans stuffed into black Ann Demeulemeester biker boots. On-trend as ever, the singer also tied her hair back in a red bandana kerchief, which matched her Ralph Lauren Harrington jacket.
While the singer layered up for the storm, she’s recently taken to edging out her boho-chic summer looks with the chunky, hardware-laden footwear. Take a trip to Electric Lady last week, when she wore a delicate black lace-trimmed slip dress from Chloé. The look felt even more fun and carefree with her accessories: a chunky belt, a banana yellow Schiaparelli hobo bag, and layered long necklaces with bottle and heart-shaped pendants. But the singer gave her boho outfit a biker edge. A noted fan of the bandana kerchief, she tied a navy paisley scarf around her head. And, in place of a pair of earthy sandals, Lipa instead opted for chunky black hardware-laden motorcycle boots.
She took the same approach to her look the following day, returning to the studio in a pastoral white Isabel Marant minidress, which she wore with her beloved Miu Miu biker boots, a low-slung Western belt, and black Wayfarers.
