It’s a Girl! Princess Eugenie Announces the Birth of Her Third Child

Email : 2

Congratulations are in order for Princess Eugenie and her husband, the businessman Jack Brooksbank, who have welcomed their third child together. On August 4, the royal family announced the birth of the baby—the couple’s first daughter, who joins her two older brothers, the five-year-old August Philip Hawke and 3-year-old Ernest George Ronnie—with a sweet photo of the newborn. The latest addition to the royal line, whose name has not been revealed, was born on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 6:20 p.m. at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal, according to the official announcement. She weighed six pounds nine ounces at birth.

“Their Majesties The King and Queen and other members of The Royal Family were delighted to be informed of the news,” the announcement said. The youngest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie is a niece of King Charles III. She was sixth in line of succession to the British throne when she was born in 1990, and is now 12th in line.

The baby girl is 15th in line to the throne behind her two older brothers, and she is believed to be the first member of the British royal family to be born in Portugal, where Eugenie and her family split their time along with residence in the UK. There’s no telling what her name will be, but August’s middle name is in honor of Eugenie’s grandfather and Queen Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip. Maybe they’ll pay tribute to the family with their daughter’s name, as well.
