New York Giants fans are holding their collective breath on this Monday night.

The Giants traveled west to take on the Los Angeles Rams on the night Aaron Donald came out of retirement, and early in the contest quarterback Jaxson Dart limped off the field after an awkward hit to his left knee.

The injury came on this play on New York’s opening drive of the night:

Dart was taken to the blue medical tent after staying down on the turf at SoFi Stadium for an extended period. He was holding his left knee while he was down on the turf.

Giants beat writer Dan Duggan, who covers the team for The Athletic, captured this footage of Dart limping off the field as the Giants rallied around their quarterback:

After New York’s defense forced a three-and-out on the Rams’ first possession of the game, backup quarterback Jameis Winston came onto the field along with the rest of the Giants offense. Dart was then spotted limping to the locker room after leaving the blue medical tent.

The Giants officially listed Dart as questionable to return with a knee injury.
